Marc Heiser, MD

Dr. Marc Heiser, MD/PHD, is a board certified psychiatrist who holds both an MD and a PHD in neuroscience from USF. He is the associate medical director for the LA County Department of Public Health and has also worked in private practice as a child and adolescent psychiatrist for many years. He is extremely passionate helping young people struggling with mental health and substance use disorders to find stability and thrive. He has also been trained in mindfulness based stress reduction, CBT, TMS, Ketamine treatment, and the care of individuals exploring their gender identity. At Key Healthcare, he comes weekly to the PHP/IOP to see each client. Dr. Heiser works closely with the clinical team and the families to diagnose and treat clients conservatively and thoughtfully, through listening to and connecting with the teens he is supporting.
