Is This Your Teen?
Are any of these warning signs showing up in your teen at home?
Maybe your teen has become withdrawn, overwhelmed, angry, or emotionally shut down. Maybe they are struggling to get through the school day, refusing school altogether, isolating from family, or reacting in ways that feel sudden and hard to understand.
You may be noticing anxiety that never seems to turn off, long periods of sadness, low self-worth, panic, self-harm, or signs that past trauma is still affecting daily life. And as a parent, you may be carrying the exhausting weight of trying to help while also wondering what to do next.
You are not overreacting for taking this seriously. When everyday life starts revolving around emotional distress, conflict, avoidance, or fear for your teen’s well-being, it may be time for a higher level of support.
Key Healthcare helps teens and families find a path forward with structured care, clinical support, and treatment designed specifically for adolescents.

(800) 421-4364past. present. future.
Healing the present begins with understanding the past. At Key Healthcare, our comprehensive treatment approach addresses the full scope of a teen's experience past, present, and future.
Our clinical process is straightforward and built on three core steps.
The foundation of adolescent healing starts with confronting past trauma. Unresolved trauma disrupts emotional development, impairs relationships, affects academic performance, and increases the risk of long-term mental and physical health issues.
Research shows that adolescents with unprocessed trauma are more likely to develop depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and family dysfunction. Our experience at Key Healthcare also shows that when past trauma is not addressed, teens often remain stuck in patterns of distress, unable to move forward in their healing.
At our teen rehab center, we use a three-part clinical process that addresses the full scope of a teen’s journey. First, we help teens and families process past traumas and struggles with evidence-based trauma-informed therapies.
Second, we focus on present challenges, teaching skills to regulate emotions, strengthen relationships, and improve daily functioning. Finally, with clarity and stability in place, we guide teens toward building resilience, motivation, and inspiration for the future.
The clinical approach at our teen treatment center combines individual therapy, group therapy, family work, and experiential programming. We use proven modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, and family systems therapy to ensure treatment is comprehensive and effective.
Clinical research shows that trauma-informed interventions improve emotional regulation, strengthen family functioning, and support long-term recovery. Our experience confirms this: when teens confront the past, develop tools for the present, and focus on the future, they gain the resilience needed to thrive well into adulthood.

What is residential treatment and is it right for my teen?
Residential treatment (RTC) is a 24/7 structured program where teens live on-site and receive intensive clinical, psychiatric, and therapeutic support around the clock. It is most appropriate when a teen’s mental health needs cannot be safely managed at home or in outpatient settings. Our clinical team conducts a thorough assessment to determine the right level of care for your teen.
Does insurance cover teen mental health treatment?

Complete our free, confidential insurance verification form on this page to learn your benefits in minutes. Your insurance provider will not be notified that you checked.
How long does treatment at Key Healthcare last?
Treatment length varies based on your teen’s individual needs and level of care. Residential treatment typically ranges from 30 to 90 days. Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs continue for several weeks depending on progress. Our clinical team regularly evaluates your teen and works with your family to plan a safe, step-down transition at the appropriate pace.
